Nondestructive Inspection

Intron Plus offers the customers nondestructive inspection of wire ropes and cables, steel-cord conveyor belts, storage tanks, pipes, production casings. We have experienced well-trained and certified team of inspectors to perform on-site inspection, issue test report, and provide a technical analysis results. In addition we provide our customers residual life assessment for tested object. 

Nondestructive inspection of wire ropes 

We combine inspection of ropes visually and with MFL instruments INTROS, developed and produced by Intron Plus. Inspection is carried in accordance with international standards and norms. Our rope inspection services comprise inspection of the new ropes either during production run or delivered to the customer, and on-site inspection onshore, offshore, above ground and under ground. The following installation has been inspected by us:  stay cables and suspended cables of bridges, crane and elevator ropes, mining ropes, chimney fire guy ropes, aerial cableway ropes, drilling ropes, conductors of OHTL, etc. The software RopeStrength is used for residual rope life (strength) assessment. The customer obtains test report and detailed recommendations on further use of inspected ropes. Intron Plus provided rope inspections in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Brunei, Estonia, Latvia, Norway, Mozambique, Turkey, Iran, Singapore, Romania, other countries.

Nondestructive inspection of steel-cord conveyor belts

For this inspection we use our brand name equipment INTROCON, capable to electromagnetically inspect steel cords for brakes, corrosion, and condition of splicing areas. Conveyor belts up to 3 m width are inspected at speed up to 7 m/s.  Our customers are located in Russia, Kazakhstan, Estonia, Chile. 

Tank floor inspection

Intron Plus developed the tank floor scanner INTROCOR, which is used for nondestructive inspection of tank floor, roof, wall. This inspection is carried according to API 653 and local regulations when available. Services were provided in Russia and Brazil.

NDT of production casings

Oil and gas production casings are subject to adverse conditions such as temperature, vibration, high pressure, mechanical damage. These negatively affect reliability of the casing, and it is necessary to inspect it to detect defects in reliable manner. We inspect production casings nondestructively with MFL instrument MI-5X. During inspection the instrument scans ferrous tube and reveals corrosion, cracks, loss of steel wall thickness, perforated holes in the wall, etc.
